Group Leader: Joan Minguell Monyart

The group incorporated shoulder pathology as our new research line.

During 2020 we conducted several research projects related with COVID-19 and Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology, contributing with our knowledge and experience on the field.

Our investigators established new collaborations with other national and international research groups in order to provide some light on the organization of our hospital and treatment of our orthopaedic patients during the new situation.

Investigators included in the different lines of research were involved in active participation as collaborators in relevant national and international research trials, as well as leading our own research projects.

We have seven doctoral thesis in project and we are currently performing three projects awarded with national competitive grants from Instituto de Salud Carlos III and societies such as SECOT (Sociedad Española de Cirugía Ortopédica y Traumatológica) and SEROD (Sociedad Española de la Rodilla).
